Calvin Year in Geneva: Calvin and His Influence 1509-2009
By Karen Baston | 2 February 2009
As part of a series of events to commemmorate the anniversary of John Calvin’s birth, a conference will take place in Geneva on 24-27 May.
The major scholarly event of the “Calvin year” 2009 in Geneva, this conference will attempt to take the full measure of John Calvin’s historical importance by exploring the extent and limits of his influence across the generations and around the world, from his lifetime until today, in the domains of theology, politics, culture, and social life.
See the conference website here for details on how to register: http://www.unige.ch/ihr/calvin2009/calvin2009-e.html.
