Eighteenth Century Scottish Studies Society Conference

The Annual Meeting of the Eighteenth Century Scottish Studies Society will be held as a conference 5-9 July 2009. The conference will include plenary lectures by T. C. Smout (‘The Improvers Reconsidered’) and Knud Haakonssen (on the publishing context of Thomas Reid’s Essays on the Active Powers). The conference will also include a walking tour of St Andrews, receptions, a library exhibition, a conference dinner, and more.
