The Victoria and Albert Museum will open its new Medieval and Renaissance Gallery in November 2009. You can follow the process of creating the gallery here:
The new gallery promises to be rather spectacular with more than 1800 objects on display and a huge glass roof over them to let in daylight. To highlight some of the work being done, Stuart Frost is keeping the V&A’s gallery progress blog. He updates about once a fortnight on lots of related subjects from the building works themselves to historic sites to conservation projects concerning the soon-to-be displayed objects. It’s all well worth a look!
