Spring and Summer Events, 2014

 Our forthcoming events include our annual student conference and the Barry Coward Memorial Lecture.

  • Saturday 15 February: Student Conference, ‘Vice and Virtue in the Early Modern Period’, 13:30-17:00.
  • Friday 21 March: Dr Janet Ravenscroft, ‘”Who Are You Looking At?”: Picturing Difference in Early Modern Spain’.
  • Friday 25 April: Miranda Kaufman, Independent Scholar, ‘Africans in London.
  • Friday 23 May: Dr Angela McShane, V&A, ‘How Happy’s the State where no Discord is Breeding?’: the Politipop of Seventeenth Century England.
  • Friday 13 June: Professor Ann Hughes, Keele, Barry Coward Memorial Lecture: ‘Going to Sermons in Revolutionary England’.

All meetings start at 6.30.

Unless otherwise specified the charge for each event is: members free (membership £7), non-members £4, donations welcome. Membership can be obtained at any of our events.
