Workshop: ‘The Reception of the Church Fathers and Early Church Historians, c.1470-1650’

The early thinkers and historians of the church have exercised a perennial influence on Christian thought, but the period between 1470 and 1650 was especially remarkable in this respect. This one-day workshop aims to gather scholars from different nationalities and disciplines to present the latest research into early modern patristic scholarship. Invited speakers include Anthony Grafton (Princeton), Cristina Dondi (Oxford), Mark Vessey (University of British Columbia) and a keynote lecture will be given by Jean-Louis Quantin (École Pratique des Hautes Études, Sorbonne, Paris)

The workshop will be held at Trinity College, Cambridge on 23 September 2016.
